S. Simarjit Singh Bains is an Indian politician from the state of Punjab and a member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. He is an independent member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly. They have made their own party Lok Insaaf Party and made an Alliance with Aam Aadmi Party for 2017 Punjab election. Simarjit Singh Bains of LIP party has won the current elections and is the new MLA of Atam Nagar. He has won the elections with a margin of 16913 votes and Kamaljit Singh Karwal of Congress is the trailing candidate. Atam Nagar constituency is one of the 117 seats of Punjab Vidhan Sabha and its constituency number is 62.
